Saturday 27-8-2011; waterspout day

After several days of convective agression mostly east of the Netherlands an upper trough with temps of -24 C at 500 HPa passed Holland.
Circumstances were probably enough for waterspout formation, so I decided to drive to the Flevoland region. Because the convection would start from the west; I drove along the coastline (A4 The Hague- Amsterdam) and so did a lucky shot.
Convection along the coastline caught my attention and when underneath the characteristic (8 UTC)tuba- form appeared I took the way to Hillegom. There must have been at least 4-5 funnels/ waterspouts at approximately 'Katwijk', 'Noordwijk' and south of 'Zandvoort'. The events were between 4-20 kilometres away.
The rest of the chaseday near the IJ and Markermeer was a convective feast, but I only spotted one uncertain funnel.
There were at the Northern part of the Netherlands several tremendous waterspouts as well.
